…I got a promo pack, and the deck I want to put it in doesn’t have a Keeper that one of the Goals requires. Can I buy that to add to my deck to make that Goal work?
A: No, sorry. We don’t have a ton of extras of regular deck cards lying around. When we open up a brand new deck to get a replacement card for someone, that costs us a whole deck, so we don’t open them up to just to sell one or two cards piecemeal.
Many expansion packs and/or promo cards were designed to go only with certain versions, and the expansion descriptions are clear about which versions they go with.
We want to make sure that when someone buys one, they do so with the full understanding and acceptance that if they put that expansion into a deck it’s not designed for, it’s possible that not all of the cards will be fully functional.
If you are dead-set on adding an expansion to a deck that not all of the expansion cards will pair with… you need to accept that fact that not all of the cards will go with that other version, and we aren’t going to send you that one Keeper that your version doesn’t have just so you can use that one Goal in your deck the expansion was never intended to go in.
(I’m looking at you, Werewolf Expansion Goal: Howl at the Moon, and you, promo card Goal: Peace on Earth.)
BUT! You can always get a pack of Fluxx Blanxx to make a card you want.
Or, consider the fact that impossible Goals are not necessarily completely useless.
