A: It could make sense either way, but Any has ruled that the player with more words wins. The two Goals this applies to most obviously are: Rhymes and Double Pair.
For Double Pair, if you have three two-letter words (not re-using any Keepers, of course) then you beat the person who only has two two-letter words. This makes perfect sense.
Where it gets tricky is with Rhymes, since word length can vary, and you can re-use Keepers in your rhyming words. So here’s an example sent in by a fan:
HIT, FIT, BIT: 3 words using 5 letters (ITHFB)
vs.
TWO, SHOE: 2 words using 6 letters (TWSHOE)
But for Goals which only call for one word, the person with the longer word wins. HOT and MAD do not beat MAGENTA for the Adjective Goal.
