Q: I understand that Limits don’t apply to you during your turn so you can win with 10 Cards in Hand or 5 Keepers, but what if the thing you do to accomplish either of these Goals also ends your turn?

…If using Swap Plays for Draws pushes my hand to 10, would I win, or would I need to comply with a Hand Limit because my turn ends immediately?

Or if using Mystery Play is the last thing I do after my plays, and it gives me a fifth Keeper, do I win, or does a Keeper Limit kick in first?

A: There are a lot of things that happen simultaneously in Fluxx, but we have had to make some rulings about what order things happen in, and, in the Order of Events in a Fluxx Turn chart (also linked in the lower part of the right sidebar) you’ll see that we consider complying with Limits to be one of the last things you do.

So in both of these cases, you’d be able to win before the Limit kicks in.
