Q: What’s up with “The Spaz”? That’s a terrible thing to put in a game!

A: It has come to our attention that we have a card in Nanofictionary which, for those in the UK and possibly other countries, “The Spaz” is likely to be considered quite offensive to people with disabilities.

Please know that we had no intention of mocking anyone. Here in the states, that word would indicate someone who is perhaps overenthusiastic, energetic, and klutzy, hence the happy face, and the knocked-over furniture.

On future printings we will be changing this card to be named “The Klutz” and, in the meantime are making a singleton replacement card with that text on it.

Feel free to contact us at customer-support@looneylabs.com if you’d like that card to replace “The Spaz” in your Nanofictionary deck, and we will mail it to you, free of charge. If you are a retailer in an area where this might offend anyone, we would love to send you enough copies to include one in every unit you have for sale.
