Since the Mock Turtle is, itself, a fictional animal, we’re counting other fictional animals as well (The Dragon, Tribbles, Cerberus). Characters which are sentient versions of creatures that are clearly animals (Rocket Raccoon, Squidward, Jake the Dog) are included, but not humanoid monsters (Bigfoot, Wolfman, the Bug-Eyed Monster). Also note that the Mock Turtle doesn’t specify that it can only stand in for Keepers. It simply says “Counts as any animal.”
